Currently, you can use X, previously Twitter, for free, or pay for Premium for a chance at a revenue share payout. And it looks like there will be two more tiers for Premium coming “soon”, as announced by platform owner Elon Musk.
As per his own post on the platform, Musk says that two new tiers of X Premium, previously Twitter Blue, subscriptions are launching “soon”. One will cost lower than the currently existing tier while providing all of its benefits, minus the reduction in ads. The other will cost more than the existing tier, but will eliminate ads altogether. No pricing details for these two were shared, so we’ll have to wait for them to be available first before we find out.
Two new tiers of X Premium subscriptions launching soon.
One is lower cost with all features, but no reduction in ads, and the other is more expensive, but has no ads.

For context, the current Premium tier of the platform only promises that payers will see half the amount of ads compared to a free user. For those unbothered by ads, a lower price point may convince them to pay for things like being able to edit posts, or the ability to make longer posts. As for those who hate ads with a passion, the higher tier would get rid of them completely, but it remains to be seen if the subscription price would justify that privilege.
Incidentally, the platform also started testing charging new users in New Zealand and the Philippines US$1 (~RM4.77) a year or be locked in a view-only sort of mode. While existing users are not affected, this means that new accounts will have to pay up to post, or like and comment on existing posts.
