Rumours have it that NVIDIA currently has SUPER variants of its GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards in the works. Specifically, the GPU brand is allegedly working on SUPER variants of the RTX 4080, RTX 4070 Ti, and RTX 4070.
The rumours comes by way of hongxing2020 (@hongxing2020), a somewhat reliable leakster on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter. That being said, their post doesn’t actually contain any additional details about said cards, and it’s even lacking a release date but promises that they will provide an update on that detail at a later date. Interestingly, the rumour also alludes to the first TI SUPER card but again, nothing is set in stone.

The last time we saw SUPER variants of NVIDIA’s GPUs, it was with the RTX 20 Series, which continued to be released just until the launch of the Ampere-based RTX 30 Series GPUs. On that note, there were whispers that the GPU brand would release SUPER variants of its Ampere series cards, but that simply remained as hearsay and never manifested at all.
Again, this is just a very fresh rumour, so you’d do best to treat this bit of news with a healthy dose of skepticism until something more substantial comes about.
