Last month, the Garmin vivoactive 5 was launched as the follow-up to 2019’s vivoactive 4. Coming with a slightly smaller display, a better battery life, and a significantly reduced price tag compared to its predecessor, the new smartwatch has a lot to offer along with a cleaner design.
The vivoactive 5 sports a 1.2-inch 390×390 AMOLED display and is encased by an anodised aluminium bezel and a fibre-reinforced polymer case. For protection, the screen is fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the watch itself has a 5 ATM water resistance rating. Moreover, it boasts a battery life of up to 11 days and up to five days with the always-on display enabled.
As you would expect, it features all the bells and whistles in terms of health and fitness features, including sensors to track your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, sleep, and more. The vivoactive 5 is equipped with more than 30 sports modes to track your workouts and it even comes with built-in GPS.
The vivoactive 5 is available in black, ivory, blue, and orchid colourways, retailing for RM1,480. It can be purchased through the brand’s Shopee, Lazada, and AECO stores as well as Garmin Brand stores and authorised retailers.
