Corsair today has launched the K70 CORE, the latest entry to its K70 gaming keyboard line-up which already consists of a base model, a tenkeyless and a 60% version. Like the first member of the family, it too offers a full-sized body and customisable RGB lights, but has a new rotary dial as well as the brand’s new MLX Red mechanical switches.
The company boasts the Corsair K70 CORE to have high-calibre durability and design, thanks to its aluminium top plate and resilient double-shot keycaps. Found on the upper right section of the keyboard is a multi-function rotary dial that can be used to adjust audio volume and RGB brightness, as well as zoom and even scroll through webpages.
Meanwhile, just beside it is a programmable button for controlling media with ease. And speaking of customisation, Corsair says you can personalise the device’s per-key RGB backlighting, program macros, remap keys and more via its iCUE software.
As mentioned earlier, each key on the K70 CORE features the brand’s new MLX Red linear mechanical switches, which are tightly constructed to reduce stem wobble and are also pre-lubricated to ensure each keystroke exhibits silky-smooth travel. Surrounding them are two layers of premium sound dampening foam that eliminates pings and clacks, allowing for softened acoustics while you type or game. Additionally, a compatible magnetic soft-touch palm rest is available optionally.
The Corsair K70 CORE is available now from the brand’s official webstore, as well as its worldwide network of authorised retailers and distributors. In Malaysia, the new gaming keyboard is priced at RM499, and is backed by a two-year warranty, alongside Corsair’s worldwide customer service and technical support network.
