Prior rumours have pegged the launch for the OnePlus Open to fall on 19 October. It looks like those rumours have turned out to be accurate, according to a post on X, formerly Twitter, as posted by the OnePlus India account.
The post notes that the OnePlus Open launch event will take place in Mumbai, India and is scheduled to start at 10PM Malaysia time. You’ve probably noticed that this falls on the same day that the OPPO Find N3 series is set to launch globally, even if the latter will happen earlier in the day.

In a sense, it makes some degree of sense for the OPPO Find N3 to get unveiled before the OnePlus Open. After all, the two devices are noted to be essentially the same phone with different brand badges pressed onto them, and meant to be sold in different markets.
All that being said, the current claim in the rumour mill is that the latter is supposed to be the device for the international market, while the former stays within the confines of its home market of China. But if the book-style Find N3 is meant for a global launch alongside the Find N3 Flip, it will flip (no pun intended) this claim on its head.
As far as their specs, the OnePlus Open is claimed to have a 7.8-inch 2K 120Hz inner display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage space. Its battery is noted to be rated at 4,800mAh, with support for 67W charging. Rumours also claim that it will be equipped with a periscope telephoto lens and the alert slider.
