Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen has announced a partnership with Italian supercar maker Ferrari to launch a new collection of products. This is called the Ferrari Collection, re-imagining a number of speakers and headphones to sport, no pun intended, the luxury sports car brand’s signature red colourway.
First on the list to be given the Ferrari Collection treatment is the Bang & Olufsen Beosound 2, a 360-degree speaker that would probably work well enough as a piece of furniture. Within it are a 3/4-inch tweeter, two 2-inch drivers and one 5.24-inch woofer providing sound to the room. Allowing for automatic adjustment to wherever you place it are built in proximity sensors alongside the Active RoomSense feature.
On the more portable side of things, there’s the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore. It comes with an IP67 rating to emphasize its ability to work almost anywhere you take it, and a battery life to work for up to 27 hours. Charging it to full takes about two hours, and is done via USB-C. It connects to devicesvia Bluetooth 5.2, and supports up to two devices with Multipoint.
For personal audio, there’s the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95, and is the only item in the collection where red is not the primary colour. Instead, you’ll only find it accenting the mostly black pair of headphones. The cans themselves support Bluetooth 5.1, with the aptX Adaptive codec. On it are a total of six microphones that drive the voice calls and ANC. It’s pretty long lasting too, as it is rated for up to 50 hours of use, or 38 hours with ANC turned on.
Finally, there’s the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX TWS buds. These are rated IP57 for dust and water resistance, with 9.2mm drivers in each bud driving its sound. Beyond sporting Bluetooth 5.2, it has most of the features found on the H95. For battery life, it is rated at 6 hours with ANC on, and 8 hours without. The charge within the case pushes this to 20 and 28 hours respectively.
The prices of these Bang & Olufsen Ferrari Collection product are as follows:
- Beosound 2 > RM28,800
- Beosound Explore > RM1,600
- Beoplay H95 > RM7,500
- Beoplay EX > RM3,000
As for where you can go to get a quick look at these, or maybe even get them for yourself, the company says that they are available at Aeco HQ Taman Shamelin, Sprint Cass (Metapod) at KLIA Terminals 1 and 2, Charlie Care in Penang, as well as Foto Flash (Flash Gadget) and Bang & Olufsen’s own outlet, both in The Gardens Mall. They will also be at Stereotype, IOI City Mall later this year, but no specific date was provided.
