Unveiled during the HP Imagine event last week is the new Envy Move 24, which the company dubs as “the world’s only movable All-In-One (AIO) PC.” While not uncommon, AIOs are a special breed of computers that are catered for a niche group, namely those who prefer to have a complete PC experience within a single package but forgoes the size limitations of laptops. More often than not, such devices favour portability the least, but the Envy Move 24 aims to change that.
HP’s new AIO is designed to be versatile, allowing users to move it around their home as well as bring it together with them for outings with ease. But instead of featuring a folding design or any other methods that can make it more compact, the major portability-related feature which the Envy Move 24 offers is a flip-out handle on the upper part of its back for lifting. As unimpressive as it sounds, it is so far the only device of its kind that has this.
Of course, the handle isn’t the only thing that contributes to its portability. The new Envy Move 24 measures at 55.23 x 14.86 x 36.66 cm, which makes it as large as a suitcase but slimmer. It also weighs in at only 4.1kg, making it one of the more lighter AIOs in the market. Apart from that, just beneath the “chin” of its display are feet that can be rotated in for storage or movability, and an elastic pocket can be found on its back where you can store the included wireless keyboard (which comes with a full-sized touchpad) and mouse combo.
Specs-wise, the HP Envy Move 24 features a 23.8-inch IPS touchscreen with QHD (2560 x 1440 px) resolution, anti-glare, low blue light, 300 nits typical brightness, and 99% sRBG. Also onboard are dual Bang & Olufsen 5W speakers and HP Wide Vision 5MP IR webcam with privacy slider, while its I/O includes one USB-A connector, a USB-C with DisplayPort 1.4a, a HDMI port, and two M.2 expansion slots for an SSD and WLAN.
Under the hood is an Intel Core i5-1335U processor with Intel UHD Graphics, 16GB LPDDR5-4800 MHz RAM, and 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. Being a portable computer, also featured is an onboard “long-lasting” battery which supports 90W fast charging. Besides that, the AIO comes with Windows 11 Home, as well as WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.
The HP Envy Move 24 is only available in Shell White and is priced at RM5,799, though its availability in Malaysia is still not known at this time. When asked regarding the latter, the company simply responded to us by saying that the new AIO will be “coming soon.”
