After some teasing from the company last month, OnePlus finally unveiled the Pad Go, its more affordable tablet. The device has a nearly identical design to the original Pad except for a two-tone back panel, with the specs downgraded to reduce the price.
For starters, the Pad Go sports a smaller 11.35-inch 2408×1720 IPS LCD display with a lower refresh rate of 90Hz compared to the Pad’s 144Hz and a 7:5 aspect ratio. Internally, the tablet runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, which is expandable using the microSD card slot.
For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and LTE for the cellular version — it unfortunately lacks a fingerprint scanner for unlocking. It has an 8MP camera on both the back and front. Powering it is an 8,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging, which the company claims can give users up to 514 hours of standby time.
The Pad Go only comes in a Twin Mint colour with a starting price of INR19,999 (~RM1,135) for the base model with only Wi-Fi and 128GB of storage. For the topped-out version with cellular support and 256GB of storage, it retails for INR23,999 (~RM1,360). As of now, just like its higher-end sibling, there’s no word on whether the tablet will be coming to Malaysia.
