Just in time for the upcoming 10.10 sale, Shopee has introduced a new Instant Delivery service which allows eager customers to receive their purchases from the e-commerce platform within two hours of purchase. However, this new delivery experience is only offered to users located within the Klang Valley. With that said, it is only supported by participating sellers in the same region as well.
In the campaign’s web page, Shopee says that Instant Delivery only applies to customers and sellers located within 30km of each other, while parcels must weigh at most 10kg and have a maximum dimension of 30 x 30 x 30cm. Additionally, delivery time is set from 9am to 9pm daily, though the platform notes that orders placed after 12pm will only be made by its Riders on the next working day.
In terms of pricing, Instant Delivery will cost customers RM6 for the first 4km, and will increase by RM1 for each subsequent kilometre. However, to commemorate the service’s introduction, Shopee is offering free shipping for deliveries up to 5km for a limited time, while a RM5 shipping voucher for a minimum spend of RM15 is also available until 10 October 2023.
Products applicable for Instant Delivery are labelled on their respective pages, while a shipping option filter for the service is also available in the platform’s search function for your convenience. Once you’ve conducted your purchase and selected the delivery option, you can check on its status by navigating to the “Me” page on Shopee’s app or website, click on “To Receive”, and then “Shipping Status”. Do take note that the platform does not provide the same-day delivery service for pre-order products.
