With the launch of the iPhone 15 now behind us, the next major phone launch to look forward to would be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 line. While the official announcement event for the S series has in the past taken place within the first quarter of every year, it looks like this time it may be slightly earlier than ever.
Serial leakster Ice Universe posted on Weibo that the Samsung Galay S24 series is estimated to get their unveiling on 18 January. The leakster notes that there is no exact time for it now, as with most things leaking ahead of an official teaser.
Dates notwithstanding, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has already had a few elements about it leaked. Its camera specs have previously been leaked, and on two occasions at that. The render of the device itself has also already made its way online, courtesy of the same leakster, alongside some specs figures like its screen resolution of 3,120 x x1,440, and its 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Of course, the spotlight is being cast on the Ultra model, so the other presumably two models are still relatively unknown as to what they pack.
All that being said, we’re still a ways away from the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series actually happening. While the date shared by the leakster seems plausible, if a bit early, we’re better off waiting for corroborations to the rumour, or preferably, when the South Korean tech giant announces the date for its next Unpacked event.
