Casio, in collaboration with Riot Games, has announced new limited edition League of Legends x G-Shock watches which feature colours and decorations inspired by the popular MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) video game. Part of this new collection are two G-Shock models: a Hextech-inspired GA-2100-1A watch and a GA-110-1A model featuring a colour scheme based on Jinx, one of the game’s playable characters.
The Hextech model, officially known as the G-Shock GM-B2100LL-1A, offers full stainless steel body and bands. Its bezel, band pieces and clasp cover are gold coloured and presented with an aged ion plated treatment, while the rest of the watch features a matte black finish. Additionally, the dial has light blue accents and a blue-tinted inverted LCD display, while League of Legends logos can be found on the band link and the timepiece’s rear stainless steel case.
Being part of the GA-2100-1A series, this particular variant also features Tough Solar power and Bluetooth smartphone link capabilities. Besides that, the onboard LED will emit a white light when activated.
Next up is the Jinx-inspired G-Shock GA-110LL-1A model, which sports a mix of black, yellow, pink and white colours all across its body and bands. The display sections on its watchface also feature blue and pink tints, while the subdial is represented by Jinx’s signature rocket instead of a regular hand – which is a nice touch. Graphics featuring the character herself can be found on the bottom band, whereas her rocket makes another appearance on the one above.
Like the Hextech model, the League of Legends logo appears on the watch’s stainless steel rear case, as well as on the band keeper. Meanwhile, activating the onboard LED will emit a bright, explosion-like orange glow.
Both League of Legends x G-Shock watches will be released in Japan on 20 October 2023, where the Hextech GM-B2100LL-1A model will retail at JPY 137,500 (~RM4,327) and the Jinx GA-110LL-1A at JPY26,400 (~RM830). Casio has yet to announce the international availability or pricing for both models.
