German audio brand Sennheiser has announced its latest pair of wireless headphones in the form of the Accentum Wireless. Despite coming with a price tag that’s slightly over half that of the Momentum 4, the company says that this new pair of headphones share “much of the most desirable DNA” of its more expensive counterpart, which was released last year.
And it does look that way somewhat, at least on the outside. The Sennheiser Accentum Wireless shares a similar silhouette as the Momentum 4, but one clear difference is the lack of the fabric wrap around the headband. On the inside, it comes with 37mm drivers, slightly smaller than the Momentum 4’s 42mm. For what it’s worth, the brand claims that “acoustics haven been optimised for broad ANC performance”. On that note, it has two microphones, as well as a wind-reduction mode for clearer calls.
Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.2, alongside support for aptX HD codec, alongside the basics like AAC and SBC. The Sennheiser Accentum Wireless also comes with multipoint connectivity, though the company did not mention the exact number of possible simultaneously connected devices. You can also plug in a USB-C cable and use it like a conventional pair of wired headphones. Battery life is rated at up to 50 hours per charge, with 10 minutes capable of providing up to 5 hours of listening time.
The Sennheiser Accentum is priced at US$179.95 (~RM844), with shipping starting on 4 October. No details on local pricing and availability yet though.
