The A2 Pro is OPPO’s latest mid-range smartphone, launching in its home market of China with some special promises to ensure the longevity of the device. Exclusive to China, owners of the new phone will be able to get a free battery replacement if its health falls below 80% within the first four years.
Adding to its durability is an anti-fall design where the corners of the phone are made thicker in order to decrease the extent of any damages if it were to be dropped, along with an IP54 dust and water resistance rating. The A2 Pro sports a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 950 nits.
Underneath, the mid-ranger runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging. Photography-wise, the phone features a 64MP primary camera with a depth sensor on the back and an 8MP selfie snapper up front.
The A2 Pro starts from CNY1,799 (~RM1,155) for the base model and is available in three colour options, including one with a leather panel. For now, it’s unknown if the brand plans to bring this device to the Malaysian market.
