AirAsia has announced an exciting collaboration between its e-hailing service, airasia ride, and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that seeks to address first- and last-mile issues for using KTMB’s train services.
With the collaboration, users of airasia ride can get up to RM6 off daily when they are travelling to and from any of the 80 KTM stations nationwide. This will enable people to use KTM Komuter, ETS, or KTM Intercity more affordably, covering Klang Valley and Northern Malaysia.
To use the discount, users must key in the promo code KTMRIDE in the airasia superapp to get RM3 off of their ride. This can be used twice a day when using it for round trips to and from KTM stations, for a total of RM6 in savings. According to the company, the promo code is valid from now until 15 August 2024.
Meanwhile, airasia ride also has another ongoing promo under its Payung Rahmah initiative, which provides a RM4 discount for rides from Putrajaya/Cyberjaya, Bukit Bintang, Bandar Sunway, Bangsar South, and Mont Kiara. It is available every Monday to Friday after 12 PM for the first 3,000 bookings and is valid until 18 October 2023.
