The name Devialet is probably not one that immediately springs to mind when one discusses audio products, save for maybe when it was involved in the making of the Huawei Freebuds Pro 2. But the French luxury brand does have its own TWS buds product, and the company has made its second generation, the Devialet Gemini II, available in the local market.
Despite the upmarket nature of the name, the Devialet Gemini II comes with most of the features that you’d expect from a pair of TWS buds. Producing the sound is, according to the company, a pair of 10mm titanium coated drivers. Connectivity to smart devices is done via Bluetooth 5.2 plus the Qualcomm aptX codec. There’s also multipoint support, allowing two devices to be connected at a time.
Other features include ANC, as well as what the company calls Active Wind Reduction (AWR), which is a pretty self-explanatory feature. The company does not disclose the battery capacity of the Devialet Gemini II, but it claims that the buds can last for five hours on a single charge, with the case topping it up to 22 hours. Closing it all out is an IPX4 rating for the whole package.
The Devialet Gemini II is available in Matte Black and Iconic White for RM2,190. Then there’s the Opéra de Paris edition, which comes with 24-carat gold plating to really dial up the luxury factor. This special edition version of the TWS buds comes with, as you can imagine, a larger price tag of RM3,199. These will be available via the Atlas Experience store, both online and offline via its outlet at The Gardens Mall.
