One of the most persistent rumours and leaks of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro was the change from the mute switch to the Action Button reminiscent of the one found on the Apple Watch Ultra. Just last month, leaks of cases for the phone in question has solidified the validity of such claims. Now, a day before the iPhones of the year take the stage, accessory brand Spigen has effectively confirmed it with a post with its official account on X, previously Twitter.
The post in question comes with the caption “something’s different”, while also referencing the upcoming Apple launch event. And it’s pretty obvious what exactly is different, looking at the accompanying image. This is presumably the left side of a case for either the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max, with accommodations for the two volume buttons, and another button above where the mute switch usually is. On a more minor detail, there’s a nice two-tone flavour to it, which would be nice for those who like this orange hue.

At the time of writing, the Spigen post has yet to be blasted off of the platform. Considering that the post is shared using the brand’s official account, and Apple has yet to force its removal, it’s a pretty good sign that this will indeed be what we can expect from the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
Worth mentioning once again is that, like the Dynamic Island, it’s quite likely that only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are getting the Action button. And in the same vein, it would probably be a year before it becomes available to the whole series, so as to keep the Pro models differentiated as the ones having the latest and greatest.
