The Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed is the latest pair of headphones by the brand, positioning them lower than the V2 Pro released earlier this year. While they are RM300 cheaper than the Pro, they are mostly the same except for the mic not being detachable and the earcups comprising of less premium materials.
The BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed sports the TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers and a bendable HyperClear Super Wideband Mic that is non-removable. They are much lighter than the Pro at only 280g, with the noise-isolating memory foam earcups replacing the FlowKnit fabric with fake leather.
For connectivity, the over-ear headphones feature Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4GHz Razer Hyperspeed Wireless, as well as a wired connection using a Type C to A cable, which is one more option than its more expensive counterpart. On the side, it retains the volume knob along with a wireless switch button.
While the only Bluetooth code. supported is SBC, the headphones also offer support for THX spatial audio, although it is only available on Windows. When it comes to battery life, they boast a total usage time of 70 hours, with a promise of six hours of use with just 15 minutes of charging.
