The vivo V29 has officially been unveiled on the brand’s website after months of teasing. It is the latest in the V29 series after the V29 Lite and the recent V29e, with the Pro version that was teased earlier this still being kept under wraps.
It sports a large 6.78-inch 2800 × 1260 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and in some regions, NFC. The V29 does have eSIM compatibility but only in versions sold in Europe and Latin America.
Photography wise, it sports a triple-camera setup on the back featuring a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a monochrome sensor. The display houses a 50MP selfie shooter with autofocus. Powering everything is a 4,600mAh battery with support for 80W charging.
The pricing and availability of the V29 have not been confirmed yet, but a local launch has already been teased on the brand’s Facebook page. Moreover, the vivo Malaysia website has a launch page for the V29 with a countdown that coincides with 21 September at 5 PM.
