vivo may be adding another device to the Y series soon, as the Y17s has received SIRIM certification. The phone was recently spotted on the BIS and Bluetooth SIG databases, as well as appearing on benchmark platform Geekbench, scoring 328 on the single-core test and 1161 on the multi-core test.
Registered on the database just last week, the Y17s is listed with the model number V2310. The phone has not actually been announced by the brand yet, but given the recent leaks as well as the SIRIM certification, it is likely that it will be launched in the coming months with a Malaysian release soon afterwards.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, the Y17s will apparently feature a Unisoc Tiger T700 chipset and the Mali G52 MC2 GPU with 4GB of RAM. It will also offer 4G connectivity alongside Bluetooth 5.0 and is expected to ship with Funtouch OS based on Android 13 out of the box.
While it could be a refresh of the Y17, it could potentially be unrelated to that phone as it’s over four years old. The phone is speculated to have a large 90Hz display with a 5,000mAh battery.
