The OPPO A38 has debuted in Malaysia as the latest addition to the A series. It is an entry-level device with a wallet-friendly figure that offers a lot of value with impressive features for something at this price point.
First of all, it sports 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 720 nits. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is rated at IP54 for dust and water resistance. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
Running everything is a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB. The A38 supports connectivity standards such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack.
For cameras, it has a 50MP main lens on the back along with a depth sensor, while the front houses a 5MP selfie snapper. On the software side, it ships with ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 with features such as Ultra Volume Mode.
Available in black and gold, the A38 retails for RM599. It can be purchased on the brand’s online shop, Lazada shop, official stores, and authorised dealers.
