The Garmin Venu 3 series has finally been unveiled, succeeding the Venu 2 series from two years ago. Coming in two variants, the lineup offers two sizes but aside from that, they are practically the same product.
The Venu 3 and Venu 3S sport a 1.4-inch and 1.2-inch AMOLED display respectively, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with a 5ATM rating for water resistance. Both watches are one-inch bigger than their predecessors and come with a laundry list of sensors to track your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, sleep, stress levels, VO2 Max levels, menstruation, and more.
While there’s no cellular connectivity, the watches can still make calls when connected to your phone using the included speaker and microphone. They also come with built-in GPS as well as Bluetooth and NFC.
For the battery life, the Venu 3 can last up to 14 days on smartwatch mode while the Venu 3S claims a usage of up to 10 days. However, when always-on display is enabled, both devices can only last five days.
The Venu 3 and 3S retail for US$449.99 (~RM2,320), with seven colour options to choose from. It’s still unknown as to when the brand will be bringing the new series to Malaysia, but it will likely be soon as the smartwatches already received SIRIM certification back in May.
