The OPPO Watch 4 Pro was unveiled by the brand yesterday as its latest top-tier smartwatch, alongside its newest Find N3 Flip foldable. Design-wise, it looks similar to its predecessor, but the body is now made of stainless steel instead of aluminium, with a brushed finish as well as a ridge on the side to give it a more complex look than the Watch 3 Pro.
It sports the same curved 1.91-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 396×378 and is covered by a 3D glass cover. On the side, it is controlled by a rotating crown as well as a physical bezel, but you can also set up gestures for launching certain functions by clenching your fist.
Inside, the Watch 4 Pro runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chipset, a slight upgrade from the previous model, alongside a BES 2700 secondary co-processor for low-power operation. The RAM has been doubled to 2GB while the storage remains the same at 32GB.
The battery got a minor bump to 570mAh, giving it five days of battery life with normal mode and up to 14 days in light mode, with the brand claiming that 10 minutes of charging can give you a whole day’s worth of usage. Moreover, the new watch is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi support, and built-in GPS.
As for health and fitness, the Watch 4 Pro comes with an optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor, a thermometer to track your temperature, and even an electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor. It features over 100 sports mode to keep track of your workouts and it is rated at 5ATM for water resistance, meaning you can swim with it.
The Watch 4 Pro starts from CNY2,300 (~RM1,462) for the black version while the brawn model, which comes with two straps, costs CNY2,500 (~RM1,590). For now, the company has not announced anything regarding availability of the watch for international markets.
