realme Malaysia has announced that it will officially launch its latest tablet, the realme Pad 2, locally at the end of this month. Much like its debut in India back in July, the tablet will arrive with different memory configurations, though the pricing has yet to be disclosed at this time.
To recap, the realme Pad 2 features a large 11.5-inch IPS LCD display with 2000×1200 pixels resolution and a variable refresh rate of 120Hz. Also onboard are four speakers with Dolby Atmos, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 8MP sensors for its front-facing and rear cameras.
Under the hood, the tablet runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, which is paired together with memory configurations that go up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, along with a microSD slot for expanded storage capacity. Meanwhile, powering it is a decently large 8,360mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support via USB-C.
Additionally, the company confirms that launching alongside the realme Pad 2 will be its latest audio product, the realme Bud Air 5. It is touted to feature three max-level technologies of noise cancellation for an uninterrupted listening and calling experience, and features upgraded 12.4mm “mega titanising” drivers for audio delivery. In terms of battery life, realme claims the new earbuds are capable of providing up to 38 hours of continuous playback when used together with its accompanying charging case.
As mentioned earlier, pricing and expected date of availability for the realme Pad 2 and Bud Air 5 are yet to be revealed. On that note, we’ll only find out when both devices launch in Malaysia next week on 30 August 2023. For your reference, the pricing for the realme Pad 2 in India starts at INR19,999 (~RM1,125) for the base 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage model, while the higher-end configuration with 8GB + 256GB goes for INR22,999 (~RM1,293).
