The realme 11 5G is confirmed to be arriving in Malaysia on 30 August, over a month after its Pro counterpart got its local release. This variant was spotted on the SIRIM database last month so it’s no surprise that it will be making its way here, although we could potentially see another model being released.
Celebrating the brand’s fifth anniversary, the event will be taking place at noon with a livestream on its Facebook page. Earlier this month, the upcoming realme 11X also received SIRIM certification, indicating an imminent local launch, but this phone has curiously not been mentioned in regards to the anniversary event. As for the 11, it seems that the Malaysian version is quite different than the one previously unveiled in China.
The realme 11 5G is the vanilla model of the lineup, sporting a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Internally, it runs on a MediaTek 6100 Plus chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the back, the phone features a 108MP main camera alongside a depth sensor while the front houses a 16MP selfie shooter. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W charging, double that of its Chinese counterpart.
