ASUS last night has officially debuted a new laptop as part of a collaboration with Japanese fashion brand A Bathing Ape, or better simply known as BAPE. The product in question is the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED BAPE Edition, which features patterns designed by the latter company that are etched onto the lid and touchpad, along with several other decorations that are unique to this particular model.
The new collaborative laptop is actually offered in either Silver or Midnight Black finishes instead of the iconic camouflage colours that products under the Japanese fashion brand are often known for. Despite this, the patterns featured on the aforementioned parts of the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED BAPE Edition are still based on this design, which also have Baby Milo Friend characters appearing throughout. Besides that, you can also find a unique label of the collaboration on the lid, a BAPE + Baby Milo logo on the bottom right corner of the palm rest, and a colourised version of the same camo pattern being displayed as the default wallpaper.
As for the laptop itself, featured on this version of the ASUS Vivobook S 15 is the same 15.6-inch OLED display as the original, which offers a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and the ability to process 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It is also Intel Evo verified thanks to its thin and light form factor.
In terms of hardware, this particular model comes with an Intel Core i9-13900H processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB of storage via a PCIe 4.0 SSD. Besides that, the portable computer also features a built-in ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and Harman Kardon tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos capabilities.
Included together with the laptop are several ASUS x BAPE accessories including a matching camo-themed packaging, carry bag, and ASUS MD100 Marshmallow Mouse, which are available in blue for the Silver colourway and green for the Midnight Black. Also part of the set are BAPE-themed keycap stickers and an exclusive Baby Milo figure.
The new Vivobook S 15 OLED BAPE Edition laptop is priced at RM6,499, and is available now via the ASUS e-Store as well as authorised resellers across Malaysia. Only a limited number of the device is brought in, so you may want to act fast if you wish to secure a unit of your own.
