Like many other carmakers, Italian luxury sports car brand Lamborghini has started moving away from pure internal combustion engine. Part of this effort is the limited edition hybrid Countach LPI 800-4. More recently, it looks like the brand has something else to reveal later this week, judging from a teaser it posted on X, previously Twitter.
The post mentions a date of 18 August, coinciding with the ongoing Monterey Car Week. The accompanying image shows a silhouette of a car that shares similar design cues with already existing cars that Lamborghini makes. So on that front, there’s not much else to work with.
Something new and truly thrilling is about to be unveiled.
August 18th.

That being said, UK-based automotive outlet Autocar reports that the brand will be revealing a “2+2 crossover”, which will also be the first fully electric Lamborghini. Or, at the very least, the EV will be previewed with a concept, or prototype as the brand calls it, first on the aforementioned date. The real deal will hit markets in 2028 instead.
According to the report, the new concept will draw some inspiration from a prior concept, the Lamborghini Estoque, which never made it to production. One can imagine it being somewhere in between the aforementioned Estoque and the Urus, an existing luxury SUV, which itself looks to draw inspiration from other luxury SUVs under the Volkswagen Group. We’ll find out for sure when the brand reveals the actual vehicle later in the week.
