Jabra announced both the Elite 7 Pro and Elite 7 Active in the local market two years ago, and it looks like the company is finally ready to give these successor models. A report notes that the company is currently preparing two sets of TWS buds, which consists of the Jabra Elite 8 Active, as well as one Jabra Elite 10.
According to MySmartPrice, text on the box of the Jabra Elite 10 notes that these will have support for Fast Pairing, and Spotify tap playback, as well as Google Assistant support. Not the most exciting of features, so the only real improvement one can expect would likely be better audio performance. Naturally, as you’d expect from TWS buds of today, these will have ANC as well.
Probably the more exciting of the two would be the Jabra Elite 8 Active. Not only does it have the same feature set, it also comes with IP ratings as well, befitting the Active name. The buds themselves would reportedly come with an IP58 rating, while their case will be rated at IP54 instead.
It’s interesting to note that Jabra is skipping the number nine, jumping from the Elite 8 series straight to 10. It’s a similar move to when Apple released the iPhone 8 and its variants alongside the iPhone X, with the number in between to be forgotten forever.
Beyond these bits of details though, not much else is known about the Jabra Elite 8 Active 8 and Elite 10. This includes their price and availability dates. Though with the first bits of details having escaped the floodgates, more are likely to follow.
