A couple of months ago, WhatsApp was seen developing multi-account support for its platform. Now, WABetaInfo reports that the app has finally starting rolling out the feature to some users on the Android beta.
The feature lets you use several accounts with different phone numbers on a single device without having to log out. As such, you can simply switch between accounts in order to organise your different chats. To see if you are one of the lucky few who have it, you can go into the settings and see if there is an arrow icon next to the QR code button on your profile.
The report states that all the accounts will stay on your phone until you log out manually. It is possible to log into more than two accounts but so far, there is no word on whether or not there is a limit to the number of accounts that can be added. While the rollout is currently limited to select WhatsApp users, WABetaInfo claimed that it should be more widely available over the coming weeks.
If you’re the kind of person that wants to use the same account on multiple phones instead of the other way around, then there is also Companion Mode. This feature lets you link your main WhatsApp account to a maximum of five devices, including tablets and computers.
