BMW today announced that its X6 xDrive40i M Sport is up for order in Malaysia. Initially introduced earlier this year, the car is an updated Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) being offered in only one variation, with a starting price of RM719,520.
“Now in its third generation, the dynamic positioning of the New BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport has always distinguished itself in its segment, allowing us to give our customers greater Power of Choice. With the Life Cycle Impulse introduced for the model, the driving experience for the New BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport is brought up a notch by the latest in BMW’s digital innovations, including the BMW Curved Display and BMW Operating System 8.” Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said.
In terms of aesthetics, the xDrive40i M Sport features what BMW calls a new three-dimensional kidney grille – iconic of the brand – along with LED lights, to make the grilles look more alluring and eye-catching. Additionally, the LED headlights are also slimmer, and the front apron feature a triangular air intakes with vertically arranged Air Curtains.
For power, the xDrive40i M Sport is fitted with a 3.0-litre turbocharged, straight-six cylinder combustion engine, with an output of 280kW or 381HP. That engine is flanked by an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, and with a 0-100km/h acceleration of 5.4 seconds. In addition to the combustion engine, the car is also fitted with a 48-Volt electric motor with a nominal torque of 200Nm. As for its fuel consumption – combined with the electric motor, the xDrive40i M Sport consumes between 8.5 and 9.6 litres for every 100km. For its top speed, the car can reach a maximum speed of 250km/h.
Other parts of the xDrive40i M Sport include four 22-inch M-light alloy wheels 747 with staggered tyres, plus blue M Sport brakes. Inside the car, the cockpit features the BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display.
As mentioned, the BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport is available for order starting from RM719,520, but if you opt for the 5-year extended warranty, the on-the-road SRP jumps up to RM754,800. And yes, that’s without insurance included.
