The Redmi Buds 4 Active, the latest budget earbuds in the Buds 4 series, were released back in June as an even cheaper option for consumers. Now, Xiaomi is teasing that the Active will be coming to Malaysian soon, although an exact launch date has not been given yet.
First off, the Redmi Buds 4 Active sport 12mm dynamic drivers with a stem design that uses touch to control the earbuds on each side. While they lack active noise cancellation like the standard and Pro models, they do come with noise cancellation for calls to ensure your voice is clear on the other side.
The earbuds are equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and with it, comes with features such as a low-latency mode for gaming and support for Google Fast Pair. Powering each earbud is a 34mAh battery while the case itself has a 440mAh battery, giving them a five hours of usage on a single charge and a total of 28 hours of usage with the charging case. For protection, the earbuds themselves are rated at IPX4 for water resistance.
Xiaomi has not revealed the local pricing for the Redmi Buds 4 Active yet but for reference, they retail for INR1,399 (~RM77) in India. The Active are only available in a single colour option of black.
