Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and now X, recently took to the latter with a message for all its users: the platform formerly known as Twitter will fund their legal bill if they were “unfairly” treated by their employer, for liking or posting something on the platform. By unfairly, he means if they were terminated and lost their job over said act.
Musk’s tweet (or post) continues on, saying that there will be no limit over how much he will fund them, effectively sending the message that the social network will foot their entirely legal bill, should and when the need arises. Adding on to this financial cherry, Musk also said that the platform will be “extremely loud” about the whole thing, and even go after the board of directors of the companies.
If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill.
No limit.
Please let us know.

It goes without saying that Twitter, long before its transition into the entity now known as X, is a place where everyone and anyone who wants to pick a fight with whomever, to post illicit and NSFW material, and at one point, where users could upload full-length feature films for their followers to stream.
Musk also complained that, long before he bought acquired X, the social media platform had not adhered to its principles of free speech and since purchasing it, the man has loosened up most of its moderation policies, given the pink slip to most of its content moderation team, and even reinstated the return of some of its banned users. And yes, that list includes its most critical offender, former US President Donald Trump.
That isn’t all Musk is doing either. Last week, he announced that X had sued the Centre For Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) labelling the platform as “toxic” and that it was raking the platform’s servers and cherry-picking the most hateful posts it could find, in order to run a scare campaign to drive away any potential advertisers.
Getting back to the main topic, it remains to be seen whether X will honour Musk’s promise. As it stands, the man has a propensity of running his mouth and making snapshot decision and changes on the platform, before ultimately backtracking on them, either due to backlash from users or said features just failing spectacularly.
