The POCO M6 Pro has officially been revealed as the brand’s latest addition to its M series of smartphones, although the vanilla version has yet to be announced. Last week, Xiaomi released the new Redmi 12 5G in India and it seems the M6 Pro is just a rebadged version of that phone with a different backplate design.
First up, it sports a 6.79-inch 1080p LCD display with a peak brightness of 550 bits, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass for protection as well as an IP53 rating against dust and water. Inside, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which was unveiled less than two months ago, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
For photography, it features a 50MP main camera on the back alongside a depth sensor while the front offers an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Its connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It ships with MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
The M6 Pro will go on sale In India with a starting price of INR10,999 (~RM605) for the base model. As of now, the brand has not announced the phone’s availability in other markets.
