Xiaomi has confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra will be packing the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, not the Dimensity 9200 as previously believed. This comes days after the phone was allegedly spotted on Geekbench, sporting the relatively-new high-end chip.
The company claimed through internal testing the phone achieved a score of 1,774,714 on AnTuTu. Moreover, it will be equipped with a PixelWorks X7 visual processor along with Xiaomi’s in-house algorithm. Aside from these two internal chips, the brand did not reveal any other detail regarding the anticipated device.
According to rumours, the Redmi K60 Ultra will have a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering it will either be a 5,000mAh or 5,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
It is expected to be unveiled during a major Xiaomi event that will also see the company revealing the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, and the Redmi Pad 2. The exact launch date has yet to be announced.
For the global market, it is expected that the Redmi K60 Ultra will be rebranded as the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Some reports suggest that the 13T and 13T Pro will be released on 1 September, with an FCC listing revealing that it will come in three configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
