The HONOR X6a is the brand’s latest affordable device that is the direct successor to last year’s X6. The new phone gets a better display, a more powerful chipset, a bigger battery, and even charging, making it a proper upgrade from its predecessor.
Starting with a display, the HONOR X6a sports a 6.56-inch 720p TFT LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with a microSD card for storage expansion. For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.
On the photography side, the back features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, a macro lens, and a depth sensor, while the front houses a 5MP selfie snapper. Battery-wise, it gets a larger 5,200mAh capacity with support for 22.5W wired charging. It ships with MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.
The phone comes in two colour options and is currently only available in the UK. As of writing, the company has yet to announce its launch in other markets nor has the HONOR X6a been certified by SIRIM, so it is unknown if the phone will be making its way here.
