If you know the brand Infinix, you probably know it as the phone maker that makes relatively inexpensive phones. But it looks like there’s a chance that the company will be bucking this trend next month, as there are reports of the brand coming up with its own gaming phone, which are usually far from synonymous with affordable. The phone in question will reportedly be known as the Infinix GT 10 Pro, with an initial debut in India as soon as early next month.
GSMArena reports that the brand is “aiming to provide high gaming features at an affordable price” which, as mentioned, is kind of an oxymoron. But for what it’s worth, the images shown in the report indicates that the Infinix GT 10 Pro certainly looks the part. It looks to sport a semi-transparent design, reminiscent of the Nothing phones.
There are also two possible colourways for the device. One looks to come in plain white, not unlike its source of inspiration. Though another variant sports the aggressive colourway of gaming phones. Most pf the phone looks to be blue, with some yellow bits sprinkled in between. It also looks to come with a triple camera setup at the back with an LED flash, and bits of text within the camera island indicate that the primary shooter will have a 108MP unit.
The report also notes that this Infinix GT 10 Pro will come with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, but did not specify which one exactly. But on the software side of things, it will be running XOS 13, based on Android 13. One of the images also shows a 3.5mm audio jack.
As mentioned earlier, the supposed Infinix GT 10 Pro will be unveiled in India early next month. If that claim is accurate, then it won’t be long before we learn more about the phone. We’ll also see if the brand can truly deliver gaming phone-levels of performance “at an affordable price”.
