The Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro were unveiled a few months back in China and it seems that at least one of them will be on its way here. While no official announcement has been made by the brand about a local release, the vanilla model has already received certification from SIRIM.
Listed with model number 23043RP34G, the Xiaomi Pad 6 was listed on the SIRIM database on 5 May 2023. With this certification, the tablet will almost certainly be debuting in the Malaysian market in the near future. That being said, the Pad 6 Pro seems to have not been listed yet so it could either mean that the two devices will receive separate launches or that we will only be getting the base variant.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 sports an 11-inch 2880×1800 16:10 IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and is equipped with four speakers for its stereo setup. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset and is powered by an 8,840mAh battery which supports 33W charging.
On the camera side, it has a 13MP sensor on the back and a 13MP shooter up front. As for the Pro model, it is largely the same with the notable differences being the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC as well as the 50MP main camera and 20MP selfie snapper.
