The realme GT Neo5, or the GT3 as it may be known in the local market whenever it becomes available, was unveiled earlier this year. But it looks like the company is already gearing up for a successor model. Serial leakster @OnLeaks has shared on Twitter what are claimed to be hi-res official press renders of a device known as the realme GT Neo 6.
As the renders only show the back of the phone, that’s what we’re limited to in terms of gleaming information. But probably most notable here is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 branding at the back, suggesting that this is the chipset that will the coming with the realme GT Neo 6. Nearby are the NFC tag, as well as that of the brand’s fast charging tech, Super VOOC.
On the camera islands next to the chipset branding, we can see a triple camera setup, as well as an LED flash next to it, within the chipset branding space. As for the cameras’ exact configuration, those remain unknown for now, unfortunately.
The timing of this realme GT Neo 6 leak though raises some questions as it comes under a month after the leak of one realme GT Neo 5 Pro. The leakster at the time, Digital Chat Station, claims that the latter will also be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as well as several other details like the 6.74-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. While these details are not available for the former to compare, it does seem strange that the company would release two phones with the same chipset within a similar time window.
On that note, the realme GT Neo 6 doesn’t yet have a release date. But for the GT Neo 5 Pro, DCS claimed that it will be released sometime this month.
