The vivo V29 has recently been listed on the SIRIM database, hinting that a local launch here is imminent. While the smartphone has yet to officially be announced by the company, there have been several rumours and leaks about the upcoming device’s specs.
Listed with the model number V2250, the vivo V29 received SIRIM certification on 28 June 2023. According to rumours, the V29, as well as the V29 Pro that was teased on the official vivo Philippines website in May, could possibly be unveiled sometime this month. Last month, the Philippines site teased the V29 series with a “coming soon” poster, but the page has been taken down.
An FCC listing reveals that the V29 will support 5G, Bluetooth, and NFC as well as being powered by a 4,505mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. Previous reports claim that the phone will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
As for the display, the vivo V29 might sport a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it could get a 64MP primary camera with OIS. In regards to the V29 Pro, vivo only confirmed a few key specs including the same display as the one rumoured for the vanilla V29, a 64MP triple rear camera setup, and a 50MP selfie snapper.
