Touch ‘n Go today has announced the addition of three new areas to its eWallet’s on-street parking payment support. As revealed by the company, newly included are areas under the Majlis Perbandaran Klang, Majlis Bandaraya Seremban – Nilai, and Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya.
The expansion now brings the total number of supported councils on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet to 19, while concurrently making it the first service of its kind to offer complete coverage for on-street parking in both Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Since the feature’s first introduction in 2019, the list of areas in Malaysia covered by the app prior to this includes Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya, Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu, Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu: Pasir Tumboh, Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat, Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam, Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu, Majlis Daerah Machang, Majlis Perbandaran Sepang, Majlis Perbandaran Kajang, Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Selangor, Majlis Perbandaran Selayang, Majlis Perbandaran Teluk Intan, Perbadanan Putrajaya, Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, and Majlis Bandaraya Seremban.
In the company’s press statement, Touch ‘n Go chief executive officer Alan Ni notes that the continued expansion of the eWallet’s built-in on-street parking payment support helps address pain points experienced by the service’s users, especially with the removal of parking machines. “With more than 300,000 users paying their parking fee with Touch ‘n Go eWallet daily, this expansion will bring good news to more users and our aim is to provide nationwide on-street parking coverage,” he added.
Just to refresh, to utilise the parking payment feature on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet, first tap on the Parking icon under Services and later select Pay For Parking Now. From there, all that’s left to do is select the location and then add your vehicle details before proceeding with the payment.
To encourage more of its eWallet users to use the feature on its app, the company is currently running a promotional campaign which rewards a one-time cashback of up to RM0.50 with a minimum spend of RM0.40, though keep in mind that this is only valid for the first 250,000 eligible transactions done starting today on 3 July until 4 August 2023. On top of that, Touch ‘n Go adds that users who make a minimum of five payments via the feature during this period will also be in the running to win attractive prizes such as a PlayStation 5, a Realme phone, or RM100 reload pins.
