OPPO Malaysia today has announced that the Reno10 series will be arriving locally soon. From the teaser image provided, it is revealed that all three variants – the standard Reno10, the Plus model, and the top-of-the-line Pro Plus – which debuted in China last month will be making their way here.
Interestingly, the image also shows that the vanilla and Pro versions of the Reno10 are sporting different designs for their rear camera setup when compared to their Chinese and global counterparts. Here, it is revealed that the two will feature one prominent camera on the upper half of the pill-shaped island, while below it are two smaller ones.
For your reference, all three variants that are released in the aforementioned regions share the same imaging layout as the Pro Plus, but with different configurations. That being said, it is unclear whether the standard and Pro models will share the same camera specifications as their counterparts. Another uncertainty are the types of displays the two will feature, as this too may differ for the local release. In China, all three Reno10 models launched with curved displays, which is something that’s still can be considered a rarity for mid-range smartphones.
In anycase, here’s a quick recap for all three devices based on their Chinese launch in late May. First off is the base OPPO Reno10 variant, which features a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 778G chipset, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB storage and a 4,600mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It is the only model to lack the brand’s in-house MariSilicon X NPU. Additionally, on its back is a 64MP primary camera, a 32MP telephoto and an 8MP ultra-wide, while in front is a 32MP selfie shooter.
Next is the Reno10 Pro, which comes with a 10-bit 6.74-inch 2772 x 1240 pixel OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 9200 SoC, 16GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, OPPO’s MariSilicon X NPU, and a 4,600mAh battery with faster 100W charging. Imaging-wise, this variant features a rear triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary, 32MP telephoto with no OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, while in front is a 32MP selfie camera.
Lastly, we have the top-of-the-line Reno10 Pro Plus. This particular model features pretty much the same specs as the Pro except for its chipset, battery capacity and rear imaging setup. More specifically, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip, a slightly larger 4,700mAh battery with 100W fast charging, as well as a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary with OIS, a 64MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
In regards to their local release, OPPO Malaysia has yet to confirm the exact dates for the Reno10 series. Seeing that the company has already started teasing their arrival, it’s very likely that the launch may happen within the earlier half of next month.
