Amazfit launched its new Pop 3S smartwatch in India last week. It is touted to sport the largest display yet amongst all of the brand’s wearables, on top of coming with many other onboard features for day-to-day use, fitness and so on.
As mentioned above, the new Amazfit Pop 3S is equipped with a generously sized 1.96-inch rounded rectangle touch screen, which features an AMOLED panel with 410 x 502 pixel resolution and Always-On Display functionality. Surrounding the display is a zinc alloy midframe with a stainless steel button, and a choice of either silicone or metal straps. It’s also worth noting that the wearable is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.
Like most smartwatches, found on the back of the device are an array of sensors that provides 24/7 heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, as well as stress and sleep tracking. Also onboard are over 100 sports modes, over 100 watch faces, as well as typical smart-based functions such as remote music playback, notifications, and hands-free calls by utilising its built-in microphone and speaker.
Connectivity is only limited to Bluetooth LE 5.2, as there’s no GPS or NFC support included. Meanwhile, powering the Pop 3S is a 300mAh battery that allows for 12 days of use, at least according to the company.
In India, the Amazfit Pop 3S is going for INR3,499 (~RM197) for the silicone strap option, while the metal variant is priced at INR3,999 (~RM225). The company has yet to confirm whether the new wearable will be released in Malaysia in the near future.
