Logitech G is officially launching the Pro X2 Lightspeed in Malaysia. The gaming headset is the follow-up to the last Pro X Wireless headset that launched nearly three years ago and as you’d expect, it comes loaded with tweaks and feature updates.
One of the most important changes to the Pro X2 Lightspeed is its battery life. Like its predecessor, it still maintains a connection via Logitech G’s 2.4GHz Lightspeed wireless technology, but now it has more than double the battery life, lasting up to 50 hours on a single charge. Moving on, the drivers embedded in each earcup have maintained the same 50mm diametre but now, they’re made out of graphene, thus producing a more enhanced audio response for gamers. That, and it has an operating range of 30m.
In addition to the Lightspeed, the Pro X2 Lightspeed is also the brand’s first gaming headset in the lineup to support Bluetooth, as well as 3.5mm wired connectivity. Beyond those simple quality-of-life improvements, Logitech G is retaining or rather, carrying forward multiple familiar features from its predecessor. That means you still get the same steel headbands with aluminium forks, the same memory foam leatherette design, albeit with a slightly smaller, tighter, lighter chassis, and from the looks of it, more form-fitting earcups. Presumably to provide better passive noise isolation.
For that matter, the microphone on the Pro X2 Lightspeed is still the same 6mm cardioid unidirectional receiver, which is detachable and powered by the brand’s Blue Vo!ce audio technology. We say technology now, because as some of you may have heard, the microphone brand that it purchased all those years ago is being dropped as just that: a brand. Moving forward, Logitech G will simply be referring to the name as part of the technology used in the development of its peripherals.
The Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed is available for preorder right now via the brand’s official Lazada and Shopee stores. The headset retails for RM1,099 and comes in two colour options: black or white.
