Another leak may be revealing some key specs about the much-awaited Xiaomi 14 series. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the two phones could be getting improved periscope telephoto lenses in the camera setup alongside the same 1-inch sensor as the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Ultra.
The leakster claims that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a periscope lens with up to 5x optical zoom and a 115mm focal length, which is tipped to be using a 50MP sensor. Meanwhile, the vanilla 14 will be getting a telephoto camera with 3.9x optical zoom and a 90mm focal length. Notably, each of them are getting upgraded from their predecessor’s 3.2x zoom lens.
Other rumours surrounding the lineup is that it will be equipped with WLG High-Lens cameras. The rear setup of the 14 Pro is also expected to include the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor for its primary camera with a front camera that supports 4K video recording.
Moreover, the series is speculated to run on the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm, set to be unveiled in October. Given that timeline, it is assumed that the Xiaomi 14 series will be unveiled in November in China, with the 14 Ultra coming in later in Q2 2024. It is said that the phones will be launching globally a few months after their China debut.
The two Android phones that I am most looking forward to next are the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, which I would like to call "super era design". Let's wait and see. I like a radical phone brand like Xiaomi, and it's only a matter of time before it replaces those who are not ambitious. pic.twitter.com/CBzgrMqtrK

Recent reports has purported that the 14 Pro could arrive in two variants, one with a flat display and another with a curved screen. Both will apparently be powered by the same 5,000mAh battery and 50W wireless charging but support different charging speeds, which will include a 90W and 120W version.
Last week, notable leakster Ice Universe posted what are apparently renders of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. If the images are to be believed, the lineup could get thinner and more uniform bezels with a centred punch-hole camera cutout.
