HONOR has finally brought over the HONOR Band 7 to our shores, making it available for purchase through several stores. The wearable was unveiled in China back in December, so it is not exactly “new” and aside from some additional colours and workout features, it is essentially the same as its predecessor.
Similar to the Band 6, the HONOR Band 7 sports a large 1.47-inch rectangular AMOLED display with a resolution of 368×194 and a slight curve with 2.5D curved glass protection. There is also a single physical side button to act as both the menu and back buttons as well as a plastic body coated in a metal-like texture.
Compatible with both Android and iOS, the smart band’s software features multiple downloadable watch faces, music playback controls for your phone, a find your phone function, and even the ability to act as a remote camera shutter button. Equipped with silicone straps, the device comes in three colourways to choose from, namely Emerald Green, Coral Pink, and Meteorite Black.
On the health and fitness side, the HONOR Band 7 has all the standard features such as blood oxygen monitoring, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and 96 sports modes to track all your workouts, although it does not come with built-in GPS so it must be connected to your phone for you to track your routes. As for water resistance, HONOR says it is rated at 5ATM.
Battery life did not see any improvement from the previous generation. It is rated for up to 14 days with typical usage and up to 10 days with heavy usage. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0 with support for Bluetooth Low Energy and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
The HONOR Band 7 is priced at RM199, RM10 more than the previous model. It is available on the brand’s website as well as its Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok stores.
