Infinix has launched a new series of entry-level smartphones made up of the Infinix Hot 30 and Hot 30i, which will be available for purchase soon with a discount for early birds. Additionally, there is a special edition of the Hot 30 in collaboration with the mobile game Free Fire.
The Hot 30 sports a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness of 580 nits. It supports 4G, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an unspecified version of Bluetooth, along with a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The budget phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G88 with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the back, the Infinix Hot 30 has a two-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and an unspecified camera that Infinix calls an “AI lens”, while the front of the phone houses an 8MP selfie shooter. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
Even cheaper is the Infinix Hot 30i, which sports a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 500 nit peak brightness. It supports 4G, Bluetooth, and dual-band Wi-Fi, but it is not equipped with NFC, although it retains the 3.5mm audio jack and fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the device uses a Unisoc T606 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
It similarly has two sensors on the back with a 13MP primary camera and a secondary “AI camera”, with an 8MP selfie snapper. The Hot 30i is also powered by a large 5,000mAh battery but unlike its higher-end counterpart, it only charges at a speed of 18W.
The Infinix Hot 30 and Hot 30i will go on sale in the brand’s official Shopee and Lazada stores starting on 14 April. The Hot 30, both regular and Free Fire editions, will be priced at RM599 while the Hot 30i will go for RM399. However, those who purchase the phones between 14 to 17 April can get them at a RM50 discount.
