DJI so far has released three different variants of its Mavic 3 flagship aerial drone, which consists of the original standard and Cine edition models, as well as the more recent budget-friendly Classic version. Thanks to leaks shared by two reliable tech insiders, OsitaLV and DealsDrone, it looks like the company is preparing to launch yet another one to the line-up sometime soon with an all-new Pro model.
Based on the images provided, the allegedly upcoming Mavic 3 Pro is shown to feature the same body and foldable form factor as its siblings. But what sets it apart from the other variants is the addition of a new yet massive triple camera setup that’s mounted on the 3-axis gimbal mount in front.
Specifications of all three cameras on the drone are still a mystery for now, though some are speculating that the arrangement may consist of the same 20 MP Hasselblad Four Thirds primary and 12 MP telephoto as the standard and Cine variants. The third shooter, on the other hand, is believed to be another telephoto that’s capable of 4x optical zoom.
Presumably a tier higher than the original two Mavic 3 variants, it seems that the Pro is intended to provide professionals with even more imaging capabilities and features. That being said, it would also make sense if DJI decides to include the Cine edition’s non-replaceable 1 TB SSD and its ability to record Apple ProRes 442 HQ on this particular model. Whether it comes with improvements in flight time, obstacle avoidance, so on and so forth remains to be seen.
Neither leaksters revealed when the DJI Mavic 3 Pro is expected to debut or how much it will cost. Additionally, a photo provided by DealDrone revealed a large assortment of accessories will be included together with the Pro variant via a potential combo. These include extra cables, propellers and batteries, as well as an RC Remote Controller, a bracket of some sorts and more. Seeing that the existing Premium Combo which includes the Cine version of the drone is currently retailing at RM 22,899, it wouldn’t be surprising if this bundle would exceed that figure and then some.
