OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the Nord CE 3 Lite. The phone, of course, is the follow-up to last year’s CE 2 Lite and this time, it comes with many notable upgrades as well as a surprising price cut.
First up, the CE 3 Lite sports a bigger 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Unfortunately, it does not come with an IP rating for dust and water resistance.
The internals is a bit disappointing as the CE 3 Lite is running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, the same as its predecessor. Paired with that are 8GB of RAM + 8GB of virtual RAM and 256GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.
On the back of the phone, you’ll find a triple camera setup consisting of a main camera with a large 108MP sensor (which lacks OIS), a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, the punch-hole cutout in the display houses a 16MP selfie shooter.
Powering the OnePlus mid-ranger is a large 5,000mAh battery that has support for 67W fast charging, as typical for products in this price range, it lacks wireless charging. As for connectivity, it is compatible with 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, and it even includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. On an additional note, it comes with stereo speakers that have “200% Ultra Volume”
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is priced at RM1,099 and comes in lime and grey colour options. It will be available for pre-order from 11 to 17 April with special perks such as a free OnePlus Nord Buds and an extended warranty. For those who purchase the phone from 18 to 25 April, you will still enjoy an extended warranty and screen protection.
