Earlier this year, Razer added a couple of new laptop models to its portfolio, namely the Blade 16 and 18. Missing from the list, however, was any mention of the next-generation 14-inch AMD-based powerhouse, the Blade 14. Well, there is now new information that addresses the alleged specifications of the Blade 14 2023.
According to a very brief and barebones tweet by _rogame (@_rogame), the upcoming Blade 14 2023 will obviously retain AMD Ryzen mobile CPU and NVIDIA GeForce combo. More to the point, it is expected to be rocking Team Red’s new Ryzen 9 7949HS APU, which is a part of the new Ryzen 7040 “Phoenix” mobile processors. That’s actually a big shift for the laptop, especially since Razer used AMD’s HX Series mobile CPUs in previous iterations, namely the 5900HX and 6900HX.

For that matter, the 7940HS that the new Blade 14 2023 will allegedly use is obviously expected to be more powerful than even the 6900HX and Intel’s own 12th Gen Core i9-12900HK. On paper, at the very least.
Moreover, the NVIDIA GPU that is expected to be installed into the Blade 14 2023 is the GeForce RTX 4070 mobile discrete GPU that the GPU maker also announced during CES 2023 earlier this year. It was an easy choice for Razer, given that the new Ada Lovelace GPU has, as NVIDIA puts it, the power of an RTX 3080 laptop but only consumes a third of the power the Ampere GPU did. For that matter, tech reviewers that have managed to conduct a hands-on with the mid-range mobile GPU have said that they have seen iterations of it running with just 80W of power, which again, is rather impressive when compared to the 100W RTX 3070 and 3070 Ti GPUs that were used with the older Blade 14 laptops.
Sadly, that’s all the alleged specs we know about the upcoming Razer Blade 14 2023 and given the source of the rumour, we think it’s important that you also take it with the usual pinch of salt. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long for the gaming brand to bares all about its next 14-inch monster.
