OnePlus currently has the Buds Pro and Nord Buds as options for fans of the brand looking to get TWS buds. The former is the feature-complete one, while the latter is the budget option, forgoing things like ANC to keep it being priced at a comfortable RM299 at launch. This budget-friendly option is getting a sequel soon in the form of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2, as announced by the brand’s official Twitter account.
The tweet itself reveals that it will look like, as well as the fact that it will be packing the familiar 12.4mm titanium drivers from the first generation TWS buds. Beyond that, the tweet is pretty barren when it comes to details.
Massive Driver.
Yep, the #OnePlusNordBuds2's 12.4mm Titanium dynamic driver means booming bass and crisp treble. Go big or go home.— OnePlus (@oneplus) March 27, 2023
As a result, nothing much is known about what the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 for now, and what it will offer to improve upon from the original. Looking back at said original Nord Buds, the TWS buds came with IP55 dust and water resistance, a total battery life of 30 hours, and noise cancellation for calls. Chances are the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 will provide more of the same, but we’ll have to wait until next week to find out for sure.
Speaking of which, the teaser tweet also comes with a launch date of 4 April. This will be a launch date that the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 shares with the Nord CE 3 Lite which, in a similar vein, nothing much is known about. But for what it’s worth, the brand currently has a contest asking for fans to guess the specs of the phone for a chance to win one, or three of the Nord Buds 2. If you’re interested, you can find the link to the community page for the contest linked below. But joining requires you to first sign up for an account.
