OPPO has finally unveiled the long-awaited Find X6 series in China, consisting of the standard X6 and the X6 Pro. The lineup is heavily focused on mobile photography, with an imaging system that fits what OPPO describes as the Three Main Camera era.
Find X6 Pro
The star of the series is undoubtedly the Pro version with its triple 50MP camera setup. The primary camera uses a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, the same one found in the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro, a 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor for the ultra-wide, and the same IMX890 sensor with a bright f/2.6 aperture and a 65mm equivalent focal length for the periscope lens.
According to OPPO’s spec sheet, only the main and telephoto lenses are equipped with OIS, but the ultra-wide doubles as a macro camera. Up front, the device houses a 32MP selfie shooter with autofocus. The phone is also fitted with the brand’s in-house MariSilicon X imaging chip.
Just like its predecessor, the Find X6 Pro is branded with the Hasselblad logo, featuring software-level colour tuning that includes colour profiles, the Hasselblad Pro Mode, and the Hasselblad shutter sound. Additionally, the Hasselblad Portrait Mode uses the wide and telephoto cameras to emulate the XCD30 and XCD80.
The phone sports a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and an astounding peak brightness of 2,500 nits. Protection-wise, the screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 while the phone itself is rated at IP68 for dust and water resistance.
Powering everything is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs on a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Find X6
The vanilla Find X6 also sports a triple 50MP camera setup with the MariSilicon X chip, but the main and ultra-wide lenses have been downgraded to the IMX890 and JN1 sensors respectively. The periscope unit and the selfie camera are the same as the Pro.
Moreover, the display isn’t as impressive as its higher-end counterpart, although it’s no slouch either. The phone features a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,450 nits and an adaptive refresh rate of between 40Hz and 120Hz. It seems to lack Gorilla Glass and is only rated at IP64.
Instead of an SoC from Qualcomm, the Find X6 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 with a maximum configuration of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It has a slightly smaller 4,800mAh battery and is capable of 80W wired charging, although it lacks support for wireless charging.
The OPPO Find X6 starts from CNY4,499 (~RM2,920) while the X6 Pro starts from CNY5,999 (~RM3,895). As of now, there’s no news yet on whether the series will hit the global market but according to rumours, the Find X6 Pro will be exclusive to China.
